Grandfather Chair

This image shows the rebuilt joint. The broken dowels were carefully removed and new ones inserted.

The top section of the rail where the upholstery is tacked into was completely broken out from reupholstering over the years. This section of the rail was removed and a new piece was laminated onto the original rail providing a sound support for the new upholstery.
