Frank van Brunschot

Frank's passion for woodwork started as a young child exploring his father's workshop. Frank's father is a post war migrant, coming from Holland to Australia to start a new life as a carpenter. At the tender age of 10 Frank was already familiar with hand tools and was making small projects. At 14 Frank commenced his cabinetmaking apprenticeship in Toowoomba working for Hagans Furniture which made furniture and restored antiques. On completion of his Cabinetmaking apprenticeship Frank worked in a range of different jobs gaining valuable experience. In his 20's Frank turned his attention to visual Arts, painting and drawing. He studied informally for several years then in the year 2000, commenced a Bachelor's Degree in Visual Arts, with Honours at the Australian National University. On completion of  his degree he turned his attention back to woodwork and antiques. Frank continues to explore, gain experience and expand his knowledge in the deep and fascinating field of antique furniture.
