Frank van Brunschot Fine Furniture has collaborated with various museums, galleries, and historic houses throughout Southeast Queensland. The restoration and conservation of antique furniture encompass a wide range of skills and knowledge. Frank has a deep and passionate commitment to the art and craft of furniture, constantly researching and expanding his expertise. The foundation of Frank’s approach to antique furniture conservation is based on and guided by the Australian ICOMOS Burra Charter 2013, an internationally recognized standard of best practice when dealing with cultural material.

Newstead House, Brisbane’s oldest European residence, has just undergone an extensive restoration. Frank’s services were engaged to work on some of the furniture.

Terence Rorke Workshop

Restoration of historically significant Queensland yellowwood furniture from the Terence Rorke workshop, commissioned by the Royal Historical Society of Queensland.

Frank’s 18th Century style writing desk is a stunning masterpiece. It provides immense pleasure to look at and use, and its exquisite craftsmanship ensures it will be treasured as a family heirloom for generations.
